향후 Windows 10을 사용있어서 이러한 기능은 사용하지 않도록 하자는 고지와 같은 것이다.

"페인트" 앱이 사용되지 않으며, 삭제되었다.
이미 "페인트 3D"가 탑재되어 있기 때문에 어쩔 수 없지만 이전 버전의 Windows에서 일관되게
탑재되어 온 애플리케이션이므로 조금 아쉬운 감이 있다.
"페인트 3D"의 3D 이외의 사용이 증가하는 것을 기대하고 싶다.

Windows Server 2003 과 XP Professional x64에 탑재된 'Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0'도 비추천되었다. 올해 들어서 취약점이 발견된 보안 취약점이 있기 때문에 당연하다고 볼 수 있다.

"3D Builder app"은 "페인트 3D"를 대체하므로 제거되었다.
그렇다고는해도, 사용하고 싶은 사용자를 위해 Windows 스토어에서 다운로드 할 수 있게 되어있다.
"Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET)"도 삭제되고, "Windows Defender Exploit Guard"라는
기능으로 대체된다.
EMET는 사이버 공격을 방어하기위한 기능이지만, 2018년 7월 31일에 대한 지원을 중단하기로 되어있다.
그래도 사용자의 요청을 받고 18개월간 연장하고 있다.

그 외 "Reader app"와 "Reading List"는 Edge 통합되어, "Outlook Express" 레거시 코드가 삭제되었다.
